Warning: these figures indicate the number of cases found in the data file. They cannot be interpreted as summary statistics of the population of interest.
Each member of the household will be asked whether or not he/she has been staying in the sample village or town, as the case may be, for last 6 months or more irrespective of his/her period of temporary stay-away from the village/town for any purpose. Those staying for last 6 months or more would be assigned code 1 and others, code 2. It is quite possible that on the date of survey, a member of the household is not in the sample village/town and is temporarily away from the village/town. For him/her also, code 1 or 2 will be assigned depending on whether his/her stay in the village/town is for last 6 months or more, or not. Note that for new born babies of age less than 6 months, code 2 may be recorded.
