The survey period of six months for this round is divided into two sub-rounds of three months` duration.Equal number of sample villages and blocks have been allotted for survey in each of these two sub-rounds. Each village/ block will be surveyed during the sub-round period to which it has been allotted. Because of the arduous field condition, this restriction need not strictly be enforced in Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep and rural areas of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
