Definition
The survey period of one year duration, was divided into four parts called sub-rounds. Equal number of sample FSUs are allotted to each sub-round by sub-samples at each level of NSS region separately for rural & urban sectors. This restriction was not enforced in A & N Is­lands, Lakshadweep and rural areas of Arunachal Pradesh & Naga­land because of difficult field conditions.
