The class or the year for which he/she is currently enrolled will be recorded. For example for a student studying in class VI the entry will be 6. For higher secondary course 11 or 12 will be entry irrespective of the name by which the higher secondary course is known in the state. For those enrolled in degree course the year is to be entered in numbers. Thus a first year degree student will get the level as 9 in item 5.2 and year in item 5.3 as 1. Similarly one doing, say, M.A. second year will get level code as 10 and year as 2. These entries should be recorded with great care as item 5.2 and 5.3 are closely related and becomes meaningful only when correctly coded and read together.
