Discrete Format: character Width: 3 | Valid cases: 328048 Invalid: 0 |
A three-digit code system for identification of each item of consumer expenditure has been used. The digit in the hundreds place indicates broad division of items; the hundred and tens places together specify groups of items and all the three digits together indicate a particular item. Item code ending with '8' represents 'others', that is, any item belonging to the particular group but not listed separately. Similarly, a code with '9' in the unit place is a sub-total item.
